The Elaborated Assessment Framework of City Competitiveness from the Perspective of Regional Resource Integration

Studies on regional development have generally focused major cities, to the neglect of minor ones. In this research, a secondary city in Taiwan, namely Keelung, was selected as case study for urban assessment from perspective resource integration. This combined decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) method analytic network process (ANP) determine how dimensions influenced each other Keelung what their weights were. We used six that comprised 14 criteria. The adopted were economics, governance, society, physical environment, natural culture creativity. On basis DEMATEL-based ANP, experts considered society be highly important influential dimensions. elucidating relationships between dimensions, our allows policymakers formulate holistic solutions rather than piecemeal satisfaction residents (who expertise considerable living experience respectively) with current situation regarding criteria also determined.
